I started my exploration in yoga over a decade ago with traditional Mysore style Ashtanga and have been teaching vinyasa yoga for seven years. I received my primary certification from Kripalu and have since completed many trainings and numerous workshops including advanced teacher trainings with Shiva Rea, Mark Whitwell and Ana Forrest, respectively. I also draw inspiration from Sharon Gannon and David Life whose teachings on compassion and service inform my daily yoga practice - on and off the mat. Shiva's playful and dance like style inspires my own and calls upon the true fluid nature of vinyasa yoga. I consider Mark Whitwell to be my most important and influential teacher. He reminds me that our yoga practice is an individual expression and experience of life. My own practice provides the deepest insights into my teaching, and has transformed my body, mind and spirit - I teach in order to guide others on their own profound and empowering journeys.

My vinyasa classes will challenge you on all levels incorporating music, breath work, sound and dynamic movement as gateways for observation and inquiry. I can help you rock out, chill out, stretch it beyond your perceived limits and keep you from falling off the edge. I encourage you to become your own best teacher, to create positive life changes one breath at a time, and to spread the belief that anything is possible.

Currently I teach both privately and group classes in Boston and on Nantucket Island. I teach students of all levels and capabilities and focus on addressing each practitioner's individual needs. Please check out the schedule page for upcoming classes and contact me if you are interested in private sessions.

Thanks and Peace!  - N
